Banos

As you can see, it's a real sacrifice to be a missionary. The first stop on our excursion was 2 nights in Banos. It could have been longer. We loved the town and the hot baths. High in the mountains it was cool, but not cold. First picture is of the geothermal mineral baths at Banos. The foreground shows a medium hot pool. Behind it is a very hot pool, and then a waterfall supplying cold water for a cool pool not shown, and some cold showers near the hot pool.

Second picture shows a cable car that goes over a gorge. Kind of a fun ride for a dollar. Third and 4th picture are a bit further down the gorge on a raft trip. At the back of the raft in black is the guide, and just ahead of him in the blue helmet is Debbie. I am on the other side in a yellow helmet. We loved the raft trip. No flat water, only good and better.
